Order and payment Policy

Booking dates are first pay, first serve. Submit your payment to guarantee your date is not taken by another paying client. All custom cakes need to be ordered at least 14 days in advance. For catering, wedding cakes, and tier cakes orders need to be ordered at least 30- 50 days in advance, depending on the size of your order.

All weekly, and monthly orders must be paid full when the order is placed. When the order price is finalized, custom cake orders require $150 non-refundable deposit is due when the order is placed. For catering, wedding cakes, and tier cakes order under $500, a $200 non-refundable/non-transferable fee is required, when the order is placed. For order more than $500- $1000, a $400 non-refundable/non-transferable fee is required when the order is placed. For orders more than $1000, 50% non-refundable deposit is due when the order price is finalized.

For custom cakes, The remaining balance is due 8 days prior to the order due date. For catering, wedding cakes, and tier cakes order remaining balance is due 20-30 days prior to the order due date, depending on the size of your order. sb Bake will assist you with all billing-related matters, and due dates. Orders are not booked and confirmed until we have received the required deposit or full payment. You may purchase merchandise from this website by using any one of the payment options listed in (link to Payment Options). sb Bake reserves the right to change its payment procedures at any time without prior notice to you.Once the order is approved, our cancellation policy is in effect.

Late Payment

If final payment is not received by the due date, then you will have 24 hours to submit the remaining balance plus a 10% late fee. The 10% late fee will be invoiced separately from your original invoice. If the remaining balance AND 10% late fee are not paid within that time frame, your order will be cancelled, and you forfeit any payments submitted. 

Sales Tax
sb Bake charges sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.

Decoration/ Ingredients

Each product is completely handmade, and slight variations in color, texture, and size are to be expected and are not considered flaws. The availability of specific decorative/ ingredients elements, such as fondant decorations or fresh fruits, may vary based on seasonal availability or supplier availability. sb bake will do her best to provide the requested order; however, substitutions or variations may be necessary in certain circumstances. Rest assured, any substitutions will be of comparable quality and aesthetic appeal. sb Bake will make every effort to fulfill your order requests. If you wish to have fresh flowers arranged on your order, it is your responsibility to supply the flowers (whether they are self-sourced or ordered through your event florist). In choosing to have fresh flowers arranged on your order, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not food products, and may be toxic or contain pesticide/herbicide residues, dirt, insects, and/or other contaminants. If we have been informed prior to the event date that fresh flowers will be supplied for your cake, we will gladly arrange these flowers on your cake for you, upon our arrival on site. However, all responsibility for the freshness, color, overall condition, and cleanliness of the flower’s rests with you (and/or the event florist).

Pick up Policy
At this time, sb Bake does not ship any of the products. All orders must be picked up by the client or a designated representative. If the client sends a representative to pick up their order, the representative assumes responsibility to ensure the order is correct as ordered.If the order is not picked-up within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time, you will not be able to pick up your cake without a 10% late fee paid first OR until the following business day if sb Bake is unavailable past the agreed upon time (10% late fee still applies for next business day pick up orders). Please take the time to take your cake order, our time, and other client’s orders into consideration.​ Orders not claimed within 24 hours of the original pick-up date will be forfeited and no refunds will be provided.Once an item has been picked-up by you or your designated party, and leaves our shop, it is considered “Accepted”. In the event that sb Bake made a major mistake to the design theme (flowers instead of fruits for example) and you alert us at the time of pickup, every attempt will be made to correct this error in a timely manner, before you leave our shop. In the event that sb Bake unable to correct the mistake before your event, you can choose not to accept the cake and will not be held responsible for the balance due.

The following scenario is the ONLY instance when we will provide a refund: 

If you come to our store for pickup and you alert us, sb Bake made a major mistake to the design theme (flowers instead of fruits for example), and you (or your designated party) refuse to accept your order, every attempt will be made to correct this error in a timely manner, before you leave our shop. While it makes us very sad to make mistakes, please remember that people, not machines are designing your orders. In the event that sb Bake unable to correct the mistake before your event, we will give you a refund (minus 25% handling fee). This refund will be given as a store credit (no cash/money refunds will be given) NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You can only be refunded if you refuse to accept the cake. We will not negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake. We do not give refunds under any other circumstances. No refunds will be given for color selections or minor design discrepancies, decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design. Furthermore, cake/order flavor and texture is subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture after cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. Orders are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake during transport, set-up, weather temperature, melting decorations, or anytime thereafter. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile, and damage can happen if not handled properly. If damage has occurred after the order has left, please call us. If we are available, and have enough time, we will correct the issue, however additional charges may apply.

Rush Order Policy

All orders should be ordered a minimum of the mentioned time in related part in advance. sb Bake may not accept rush order. Last minute orders are final and cannot be changed or canceled in any circumstances. They must be paid in full at time of order and will incur a 25% rush fee being added to the final invoice’s total. For catering, tier cakes, and wedding cakes the rush fee goes upper.

Customer Cancellation Policy

Due to being a small shop, we can only take a few orders per week. The process of making your orders including buying fresh ingredients and make custom edible work of art starts days/ weeks in advance.  For this reasons, all weekly, and monthly orders are final, non-refundable, and nontransferable.Due to preparations, supplies and blocked date for orders, if a custom cake or tier cake is canceled at least 20 days prior to the pick-up time, all design fees and 50% of the deposits are non-refundable. If wedding cake and catering, are canceled at least 30 days prior to the pick-up time, all design fees and all the deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your order on time, the balance may be used as a credit for future orders. If your order is canceled with less than 20 days’ notice: sb Bake will not issue any refund or store credit and if your cake is not paid in full you are still liable to pay the balance due. All requests for cancellation must be made in both email and text.

Change Policy

For weekly, and monthly orders, sb bake does not accept any kind of changes. For custom cakes, if available, change is accepted up until 10 days prior to the date of pick up. If you must make one small change (for example add writing), if available, there will be a $30 change fee added to the order. For other changes additional charges may be added to your order, depending on the nature, add decorations, ingredients, or complexity of the changes. For weeding cake, tier cake and catering orders, if available, change is accepted up until 50 days prior to the date of pick up. We are unable to make changes on orders after that time frame. The reasoning behind this policy is because we must order ingredients or create components in advance (which is often done at least 3 week prior), in addition to labor that has already been expended in the preparation of any special order.

sb Bake Cancellation/ Change

If sb bake is unable to provide the order that was promised at the time of booking, you acknowledge that sb bake has the right to cancel the order at any time, and for any reason, prior to the pick-up time. The Client will be contacted and informed of the same as soon as humanly possible. We will email you (the email you mentioned in check out page), or text to your cellphone. The responsibility of validation of contact way and being available is by customer. In addition to that the Client will receive a refund ONLY in such a circumstance.

Photographs of Your Cake 

sb Bake reserve the right to take and use our own photos of your order to use for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to you. We may also request photographs from your photographer for the same purpose.

​Cake Pickup Instructions

Important instructions for preparing your car and delivering your cake ​

  • Generally, your cake will be packaged in a sealed box to protect your cake from dust, rain or foreign objects (with the exception of extremely large or gravity defying cakes that may not fit packaging)
  • The best way to transport your cake is in the back of a van, station wagon or SUV. If none of these options are available, it is possible to transport smaller sized cakes in the floorboard of a car, however this is a last resort due to the potential for damage.
  • Under no Circumstances should a cake be transported on a vehicle seat. (It is also highly discouraged to transport your cake on someone’s knee/lap)
  • Please prepare the back of the vehicle in advance of picking up the cake by clearing out any loose objects and vacuuming/shaking out any debris.
  • On warm days, it is imperative that your vehicle have a working cooling unit (air conditioning). Please run it before your pick-up until your car’s interior is cool.
  • Allowing pets to be in the car during a cake transport is strongly discouraged.
  • Driver must take extreme caution, always keeping the vehicle level, especially when turning corners, and must avoid any sudden acceleration, cornering, or aggressive braking.
  • Upon arrival at the event venue, be sure to set up the cake in a cool display area away from sunlight (and away from anywhere sunlight might move to) without delay

Cake Stands and Rentals

Your cake does not come with a stand upon order. If you would like to rent a stand from us, we can provide a stand for a $25 rental fee. We also require a $100 security deposit as incentive to make sure the cake stand is returned to us. The $100 deposit will be charged to your card at the time of ordering the cake stand and will be refunded to your card if the stand is returned to us within 3 days of your event, clean, and in good condition. If any parts are missing, your deposit will be forfeit. A 10% service charge will be subtracted from your deposit if the cake stand is returned dirty.

Allergy Warning

Every product produced in sb bake is made with shared equipment that may have come in contact with ingredients contain allergens including but not limited to: Peanuts, Tree nuts, Soy, Dairy, Eggs, Gluten, Wheat, etc.  If you have food allergies, it is advised that you do not consume our products. 

Tier Cake Advisory 

Please be aware that all 2 tier/ tall/ shaped cakes are built with sticks & straws inside for support. One long stick will run through both cakes from top to bottom. The bottom tier will also have additional sticks/straws built inside to support the top tier. The sticks will not be visible from the outside.

 Legal Notice
All notices from sb Bake to You may be posted on our Web site and will be deemed delivered within thirty (30) days after posting. Notices from You to sb Bake shall be made either by regular mail, sent to the address we provide on our Web site, or first class mail to our address at:
Delivery shall be deemed to have been made by You to sb Bake five (5) days after the date sent.
